We as a society, should place much more importance on music than we do. Because, musical training is even more important than computer training. It dramatically enhances children’s abstract reasoning skills, and it enhances their skills for learning math and science. In fact, the past winners in the prestigious Siemens Westinghouse Competition in Math, Science & Technology (for high school students) play one or more musical instruments.
Certain College Entrance Examination Boards all Agree on the following statements:
“Students with experience at music performance and music appreciation scored higher on the SAT: Students in music performance scored 57 points higher on the verbal, and 41 points higher on the math. The students in music appreciation scored 63 points higher on the verbal, and 44 points higher on the math. Every category scored much higher than the students with no musical or arts participation at all.”
So…you can greatly increase the odds of your kids getting into the university of their choice, by learning rock ‘n roll, jazz, blues, funk, gospel, R & B, and yes even classical too!
Planning to get your child in the right university means, getting them into the right pre-school, elementary school, and high school first. The same holds true for the right musical education, and that’s where we come in….
Just remember, Notes are for Songs but, Music is for Life!!!
